Rising Bridge Business and Enterprise Village

A DYNAMIC new business development is opening its doors to prospective new businesses with an Open Day.

Lancashire County Developments Limited (LCDL), the county council's economic development company, recently announced the completion of the Rising Bridge Business and Enterprise Village in Haslingden, Rossendale.

To mark the opening of the development, LCDL is inviting businesses to visit the site on Wednesday 26 January 2011.

The Open Day will take place between 10am and 3pm, with opportunities to view the offices and discuss requirements with the letting agents.

The BREEAM Excellent-rated scheme was developed by Lancashire County Council in partnership with the North West Development Agency (NWDA) and Rossendale Borough Council.

County Councillor Michael Welsh, Chairman of LCDL, said: “In these difficult economic times the completion of the Rising Bridge development is a vote of confidence in the Rossendale Valley and the wider Lancashire economy.

"Economic recovery will be lead by the private sector. We recognise our responsibility to support them by providing first class infrastructure and facilities that will attract new investment and stimulate those who are already here to expand and grow.

"Rising Bridge exemplifies this approach. We are encouraged by the response in the shape of expressions of interest from a variety of potential tenants and investors. Companies who would like to know more about Rising Bridge are cordially invited to join us on the opening day."

Councillor Bill Challinor, Rossendale Council’s Regeneration Portfolio Holder said: “These offices are in a great location. They will provide a big boost for jobs and the economy in Rossendale. The development is superb. Everyone who has been associated with this project should be congratulated.”

Mark Hughes, Chief Executive of the NWDA, said: “Rising Bridge helps to meet the demand for high quality business space in Rossendale. I am pleased that companies are already showing an interest.

"The Open Day will allow businesses to see these excellent facilities. I’m hopeful it will lead to existing companies staying in Rossendale and new businesses developing here."

The Rising Bridge scheme includes nine self-contained pavilion style offices, ranging in size from 2,518 sqft to 3,465 sqft with on-site car parking and set within a landscaped courtyard site.

The offices, now available either to lease or purchase have been completed to a very high specification and to best practice design standards.
